Shiny Frog Ltd. · Productivity

2017 Apple Design Award winner and 7-year Editors' Choice signals quality and trust immediately
No signup required, plain text Markdown means zero friction to start writing today
WikiLinks and nested tags let power users build personal knowledge systems competitors don't offer

Free tier severely limited—sync, themes, PDF search, export formats all locked behind Pro, discouraging adoption
Wall of feature lists buries the core value; unclear why someone should pick Bear over Notion or Apple Notes
Subscription pricing ($29.99/year) for sync is high friction; most competitors include it free or cheaper
